Youth Teams

Tir Chonaill Gaels are proud to be the cornerstone of GAA Football in London since 1962.

Tir Chonaill Gaels offer all children from the ages of 6 to 18 years old the opportunity to learn and develop their GAA skills in a fun, safe and structured environment. Our Youth Committee have a strict safeguarding and child welfare philosophy, and they ensure that this policy is at the center of all the Club’s activities.

At Tir Chonaill Gaels we have a strong tradition in nurturing and developing young boys and girls into talented and confident GAA footballers, while enjoying all the benefits of being part of the wider GAA sporting and cultural community within the wider London area.

Our experienced GAA youth coaches are all DBS registered, and have achieved their coaching accreditations through official GAA coaching programmes; which range from basic foundation level training all the way up to Level 2 adult coaching.

Our coaching style is designed to introduce GAA to all children in a manner which allows each and every player to develop at their own pace, encouraging continual improvement through a structured skills approach, where these skills can then be practiced in a conditioned games situation, which enables players to improve as an individual sports person while also becoming an important part of a competitive and successful underage team, and prepare them for their future GAA career by creating a pathway into adult GAA football should they wish to do so, in the knowledge that they will have consistent help and support every step of the way from our trained coaches and Youth Committee members.We encourage all our players to strive to be the very best they can possibly be, both on and off the pitch, and to build strong bonds of friendship with their fellow teammates.

At TCG we recognize that parents, siblings and other family members play a key part in players enjoying their GAA sports, therefore we encourage family and friends to regularly enjoy our unique facilities at Greenford West London, ranging from our numerous sporting facilities, to our traditional Bar and Kitchen service, availing of food and beverages 7 days a week with a warm and friendly welcome.
